First results : Foutaine Sikuli, leader of PARECO puts back a Battalion for mixing.

One day after the signature of the Act of engagement for Peace, the security and the Development in the provinces of Nord Kivu and Sud Kivu in Goma, the Commander and Leader of PARECO, the Major general FONTAINE SIKULI gave a battalion of almost 1.300 men to the regular army, to join the center of Mixing.

The leader of PARECO/FAP introduced his men at the government’s delegation of the DRC Thursday January 24, 2008 during the visit of popularization’s mission of engagements exits of the agreements of Nairobi between DRC and Rwanda especially on the chronogram of DRC about the return of Rwandan rebels, FDLR.

This mission led by the Congolese Minister for Foreign Affairs MBUSA NYAMWISI was very encouraged by the engagement of PARECO/FAP’s leader which passes to the concrete actions towards the integration of its men in the regular army and thus allows the province of Nord Kivu to think about the development. The meeting of Thursday in MBWAVINYWA in territory of Lubero proceeded in the presence of the organizers of Monuc’ sDDRRR represented by Mr. PHILIP and the Governor of Nord Kivu, Mr. Julien Paluku Kahongya.

Julien Paluku was satisfied to see already his province recovering the heat of Peace, only 24 hours after the Act of engagement’s signature. He hopes to see again the population under his administration returning in the fields and breeding thanks to this gesture of great scale, for one better following day.

For the moment, DRC’s government must place at the disposal of PARECO/FAP’s men the logistic means to join without delay, the center of Mixing and to recover to the service of the nation.

Monuc boosts the respect of the act of engagement

Monuc calls to the strict respect of this document by all the signatories groups so that each one, in what relates to it, fulfills its obligation to allow the implementation of recommendations and acts of engagements.

Alan Doss announced the installation in the next days of a technical commission charged to clarify the points which were not exhausted such as mixing. For that which places its mandate in relationship with the press in order to reinforce Monuc communication’s policy and other structures of UNO and in forecast of local elections awaits to be implied personally? Alan Doss asserted that he will make the round of all the provinces of DRC with for objective impregnating local realities.

 Answering to a question about the physical absence of Laurent Nkunda in Goma and about the way of bringing back to apply the recommendations, Alan Doss said that like other participants, politico-military’s mouvement  signed up. Always about Nkunda, Alan Doss refuted the idea according to which the conference of Goma had favored NKUNDA, because according to him, there no was blank check for anyone. The act stipulates that all the war crimes and genocide, crimes against humanity remain liable to legal proceedings, as well national as international.
