Accommodation in DRC constitutes an element of human dignity, and contributes in this fact to the improvement of the living conditions of the population. A person without housing is victim of instability of any kind. To have a clean housing is an insurance for one’s life and one’ offspring.

Accommodation is one of the crucial questions with which are currently confronted the Congolese populations. Most of the Congolese people do not have a clean housing. From where, the number of tenants exceeds by far that of owners of buildings.

This situation reveals a real need of the population on the matter, and a great investment opportunity in the sector. So that, the few operators in the market of housing are always astonished by the precipitation with which people appear to acquire the residences in full construction.
By the Work site of Accommodation, the Head of the State understands to reabsorb the housing crisis gradually in order to ensure all the Congolese the right to a decent housing. Also, will have it to be built in all the great urban centres of the country the social residences which will be proposed to the population at reduced prices, payable in the term. At least Five thousand dwellings are to build in the town of Kinshasa and two thousand in each province of the country.

The dwellings will be built on financing of the Government with the support of the multilateral and bilateral financial backers, and private economic operators.

In order to ensure a decent housing for all, the Congolese State sets up an attractive policy of private investors in this sector, in granting facilitations for the concretization of their projects, in particular by the easy attribution of the grounds.
