 Joseph Kabila conferred with leaders of political institutions.

Since Monday December 1st 2008 that the President of the Republic, Joseph Kabila talked with leaders of major political institutions of the country and expanded meeting with the manager of Amani program as well as the President of the Senate, Leon Kengo Wa Dondo, that of the National Assembly Vital Kamerhe and Prime Minister Adolphe Muzito.
Their talks turned on the security situation in eastern DRC, 2009 Budget tabled in the two offices of the parliament. Compared to the 2008 budget, that of last year takes into account the security situation compared to the situation in eastern DRC.

That will not surprise, the delegation will have to discuss with the Rwandan authorities ways and means to restore peace in the sub Great Lakes region, said Vital Kamerhe, the president of the National Assembly at the end of talks with Head of state.
"This is time of détente, we seek reconciliation and peace in the region," he said, adding that this delegation will be composed of presidents of the senate and the assembly and a suite of MPs.
Mr. Vital Kamerhe told the press that the Prime Minister gave them policy guidelines to be adopted to end the war. These are political and diplomatic means.
According to him, talks with the head of state also focused on Human Rights Watch report, the organization of local, municipal and urban elections as well as elections in 2011.
Regarding the eastern situation, Vital Kamerhe said that the government's position is to continue the Amani process.
